Description

Wonderful carte view of two men enjoying lunch in the vicinity of Blackburn’s Ford. This view is identified in several locations as two photographers having lunch at Blackburn’s Ford in the area of Bull Run sometime prior to the second battle. A destroyed railroad bridge can be seen laying in the creek behind the men. Despite the two men being identified as photographers, I have been unable to determine or locate any information which identifies the men. The man to the right is possibly Matthew Brady but I cannot confirm that. No back mark on this one but a great image!
