Description
This is an early war, ninth plate ambrotype of a blue-eyed Federal infantryman. Seated pose dressed in his infantry frock. He appears to be wearing a M1851 sword belt plate with a holstered revolver worn on the hip. A M1860 cavalry saber is also held which is housed in the scabbard. Very nice looking image with a few minor surface abrasions. This one does come housed in a full case with a split spine and some damage to the case itself.
