Drop dead beautiful, ninth plate ruby ambrotype of this early war New Hampshire infantryman. Dressed in his dark blue New Hampshire frock with these large, trimmed, cloth shoulder tabs. Eagle buttons run down the face of the jacket. Sergeant’s strips are worn on the sleeve with a brass company letter “D” pinned to the front of the cap. Beautiful clarity to this image. This has the rare “Star” pattern mat with it. Just an all around great looking image. Housed in a full leatherette case.
