Description
Superb and extremely rare sixth plate tintype of a wounded Federal infantry sergeant. Unfortunately he is not identified so where he actually received the grievous wound is unknown. Seated pose of this very wearisome looking soldier. He sits slouched in a chair with his sack coat worn open exposing his wounded arm carried in a sling. You can see that his arm is heavily bandaged. Wonderful tinting to this view with his trousers and chevrons tinted blue. The sling tinted a dark shade of red. An American flag lays draped over a table at his side which has been tinted as well. A military themed back drop can be seen in the back ground behind him. Extremely rare and desirable view. These don’t come up very often. It does come housed in a mint thermoplastic case as well.
