Ninth plate tintype of a Federal soldier dressed in a service jacket. A felt slouch cap is worn with a silver id badge pinned to the breast of the coat. The edges of the badge are scalloped, almost giving the impression of a sunflower. This one comes housed in a extremely nice thermoplastic case.
