Description
Half plate ambrotype of two Confederate soldiers who I would presume are father and son. They certainly share the same pointy nose. The two men stand side by side with the younger of the two men resting his hand on the shoulder of the other. The older of the two men sports a very light grey frock with the collar trimmed in black. The younger man stands dressed in a grey short jacket with interesting shoulder trim and identical collar trim as his father. Both men wear black trousers as well. Unfortunately this one does suffer some condition issues. At some point the plate was broken. Despite the cracks the plate is very stable. I do not have a case for this one. It comes housed in a riker case and still displays well just the same. Great reb image of what are probably a couple of Virginian’s.
