Description
Superb HALF plate melainotype of this Federal infantryman. Full standing view of this soldier dressed in his great coat and forage cap with infantry insignia shown on the front of the cap. The coat is worn open exposing his US waist belt and what appears to be a Marston revolver tucked into the belt. A silver handled Sheffield knife is displayed across his breast as well. This one comes in a full leatherette case with a separated spine. Great image in the half plate size!
