Description
Stereoview featuring a child named “War Eagle” standing in front of members of his proud Native tribe photographed in 1889. He wears a feathered headdress and a breechcloth. It is in good condition with light surface dirt that extends to the card. The card itself is a natural color with text on the left and right reading “Sold Only by Underwood and Underwood Baltimore, MD – Adams, Kas.” A copyright date of 1889 by Underwood and Underwood and the title “LITTLE ‘WAR EAGLE,” THE PRIDE OF THE TRIBE.” are present along the bottom edge. Overall measurements are 3.5” x 7”.
