Description
Sixth plate tintype of a Federal infantryman wearing what appears to be a state issue, dark blue or possibly black blouse and trousers. A US waist belt plate is worn with his cap box and cartridge box which he wears on the belt itself rather than over the shoulder. He stands armed with a M1842 musket. Very neat camp scene back drop which I have not seen before. This one comes housed in a half leatherette case.
