Description
Absolutely beautiful sixth plate, clear glass ambrotype of an unidentified Federal infantry corporal. Seated pose of this foot soldier in this early war view. Dressed in his infantry frock which has been tinted a nice shade of blue. Corporals chevrons are worn on the sleeve which have been tinted a light blue along with the light blue piping that trimmed the frock. Sporting this killer M1858 Hardee hat with the brim pinned to one side, brass infantry insignia pinned to the front and an ostrich plume. A US waist belt is worn with a small Sheffield knife tucked into the belt along with a little boot pistol. A really sharp looking image with beautiful tinting to this one. Housed in a full leatherette case.
