Description
Wonderful sixth plate melainotype of an infantryman. Nice waist up portrait of this young soldier clenching his fist and dressed in the dark blue state jacket issued by the state of New Jersey. He also sports a US waist belt with his cap box and the hilt to a saber bayonet visible in the scabbard at his hip. Housed in a full thermoplastic case. Very nice image!
