Description
Sixth plate tintype of a Federal infantry corporal. Nice seated pose of this NCO, dressed in a state issue New York jacket. He wears either a baldric for his NCO sword or his cartridge box which is spun around to the back side out of sight. A SNY belt plate is also worn although it is difficult to see it here. Seated in front of this military themed back drop. Behind the image is a cut down cabinet card of an infant child which I would presume was his child. Housed in a half leatherette case.
