Description
Sixth plate ruby ambrotype of a young baby faced infantryman from the state of Ohio. This kid can’t be more than 12 or 13 years old. He stands dressed in an Ohio state issue jacket which is a little to big for his small frame. A Colt M1849 revolver is displayed across his chest which we can probably assume was a photographers prop. Posed in front of the “Courtyard Backdrop” which is associated with a number of Ohio images. Great looking image with very unusual content. This one comes housed in a full case.
