Description
Really neat 1860’s carte view of a firefighter out of Portland, Maine. Dressed in a double breasted frock, he has two rows of large domed Maine buttons running down the front of the coat. You can clearly see that these are in fact Maine buttons! Pinned to the breast of his coat is a large silver badge with the numeral “7” cut out in the center to represent his station. Great image! This one is back marked out of Portland.
