Description
Quarter plate ruby ambrotype of what is most likely a musician photographed with his wife. Dressed in black trousers, and a matching double breasted frock coat, the front of the coat is trimmed in a herring bone pattern and trimmed in red. It could be possible that this image has southern origins, but I am leaning more towards a northern affiliation. Not a flaw on this one! Housed in a half case and this one has been re-taped. Wonderful portrait.
