Description
This is a beautiful sixth plate, clear glass, early war ambrotype of an unidentified Federal corporal of infantry. Superb clarity to this view. You are able to view the eagle buttons that adorn his four button sack coat with the naked eye quite easily. His light blue corporals chevrons visible on the sleeve of the coat. This scan does not do this image justice. Simple yet magnificent image. Housed in a half thermoplastic case.
