Description
Ninth plate ambrotype of a rebel soldier ready to march. Dressed in a light colored blouse, neck tie and straw derby pattern hat, he stands with a rigid knapsack strapped to his back and a tarred canvas bedroll. Around the waist he sports a rare Breckenridge pattern CS plate which the photographer has enhanced with gold gilt and spelling out the letters “CS”. This one does have some condition issues as can be observed but how often do you get to see a CS Breckenridge pattern plate! Housed in a full thermoplastic case.
