Wonderful carte view of 3 Federal infantryman. Possibly a father with his two sons. At least one of the men is an NCO. The other two appear to be privates. The elder of the three men stands in the back with his arm around one of the men. All three are dressed in great coats and capes with the man to the right clenching a cigar in his teeth. The man behind him holds another between his fingers. Each man also sports a Hardee hat with infantry insignia and the numeral “8” worn on the front of the hat. No back mark on this one and the remnants of a tax stamp is visible. Really neat view.
