Description
Flawless quarter plate tintype of a wounded Federal infantryman. Dressed in a infantry frock, he stands favoring one leg with a crutch under each arm. We can see that he has padded the arm rests on each crutch for comfort. I actually have a pair of these exact crutches, and I don’t know how they managed to use these things. They are very difficult to use and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately this soldiers name is unknown as well as the reason for needing the crutches. This example is in mint condition without a scratch or bend in it. Housed in a full leatherette case.
