Silver 14th Corps ID badge identified to a J. Able of the 2nd Kentucky Cavalry. I have been unable to locate any such individual that would match with the inscription displayed on this badge. There is a Philip Able that did serve in the 2nd Kentucky Cavalry, however he would serve in “A” company, not “G” company. Additionally, this badge is in the shape of an acorn signifying the 14th Corps and the 2nd Kentucky Cavalry was never in the 14th Corps. This one is inscribed on the front face, “2nd Co. G. Kty J. Able”. Measures 2″ long and nearly 1.5″ wide. The reverse does still retain the T-bar pin.
