Superb grouping attributed to famed Confederate cavalry leader, John S. Mosby. Very nice vignette portrait of the general in uniform. This example bears a pencil inscription across the front bottom reading, “Col. Mosby’. The reverse is back marked by Anthony with an affixed tax stamp dated May 10, 1866. Accompanying this carte view is a very nice signature from the “Grey Ghost” himself. Ink signature on heavy card stock reading, “Jno. S. Mosby”. Measures 4″ x 2.5″. Exceptionally rare paring from this famed southern cavalryman!
