Description
Eight plate, post war tintype of a bugler. Dating to the late 1860’s or early 1870’s. Possibly a new recruit or he could just be a bugle player in a civilian band. Seated pose dressed in civilian clothes. A kepi rests on the table beside him with brass infantry insignia pinned to the top. There are 4 small letters pinned to the chin strap but I am unable to make the individual letters out. His bugle is seen standing upright on the floor in front of him. Housed in a half leatherette case.
