Description
This is an outstanding quarter plate tintype of two unidentified Federal buglers. Wonderful pose as these two buglers sit side by side with one resting his arm on his fellow soldiers shoulder. Both are dressed in four button sack coats with military trousers and McDowell pattern caps. Both men also sport baldrics worn over the shoulder and their NCO swords housed in the scabbard. A bugle rests in each man’s lap from which a red bugle cord hangs indicating these two men served in artillery units. One of the men holds a bouquet of flowers which has been wonderfully tinted. The other has a single flower sprouting from the mouth piece of his bugle. If you like content, this image has it! Just a wonderful view housed in a full leatherette case.
