Description
Wonderful sixth plate tintype of an unknown Federal lieutenant. Beautiful clarity to this image. The officer is photographed from the waist up and wears a very tired look upon his face. His coat is worn open exposing the wind key and chain to the watch in his breast pocket. Smith’s Patent 2nd lieutenant shoulder boards are worn which which have been tinted a slight shade of blue. The is a light scratch over to the left side of the image as you can see. Housed in a full thermoplastic case which does have a slight bit of fire damage to the backside along the edge but nothing severe. Great look to this image.
