Description
Wonderful carte view in the horizontal format of Lake Seclusion located at Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. This view show a large group of what appears to be a mix of both Federal soldiers and civilians seated around the small lake. The Lulu Falls can be seen trickling down the rocks and into the lake itself. The small lake was a popular attraction for both troops and civilians alike. This one bears a period ink inscription on the reverse reading, “Lake Seclusion foot of Lookout Mountain”. No back mark and there is a bit of foxing to this one. Super cool view that doesn’t often come up.
