Description

Quarter plate tintype of two Federal infantryman that look like they are just about worn out! This image has a great look to it. Wonderful clarity. The two comrades sit side by side on a pair of camp chairs which rest on the bare ground. The fellow to the left wears an infantry frock and pair of leather gauntlets while sporting this wonderful Hardee hat. Brass infantry insignia can be seen pinned to the front of the hat. His Army chum sits dressed in a 5 button sack coat with his hand tucked into the flap of the coat. Possibly a Wisconsin sack coat with the 5 buttons. A nice black felt slouch cap is worn with some unidentifiable insignia worn on the front as well. Housed in a full leatherette case. Really a sharp looking image.
